What do you guys think of those parts? I know im missing GPU, CPU, cooling, and a screen but thats because were having debates about those.
just give me a yay or nay (if nay provide reason or solution) for each number.

Also I'm Starting to think seriously about processors and GPU.

ok so what motherboard are you using? Also most thos parts are good, those ultra X3 psu's are good, I have the 1000w version and it's rock stable. but if I were you I would get the parts that matter most first then the rest as you go, unless you can have the money all at once.

MR. BROWN (thats sounds so weird cuz that was my history teacher freshman year of hs) i think i AM going to get most of my stuff all at 1ce. See the reason i posted most of this stuff is cuz i had picked everything out a while ago, but i talked to people on this forum about the parts i wasn't so knowing of, or more like needed advice, because they are the most important parts. That is why i haven't put those on the list. Because i made this thread to ask some questions about those very things as I wait for the "Guap" to pay for everything. :P Although memory, Disc Drives, and hard drives are pretty important too, but im 99% sure (from reading around the forum, and from reading people's signatures (those who show their rigs specs)) that Raptors and BD drives are the way to go.
on another note, the only thing i feel hesitant about is the Memory, because to me it doesn't seem powerful enough.

I believe i will start out with a e8500 for cpu
http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...433&CatId=3585 8800GT with Zalman Cooling for GPU
but if i have water cooling won't it be better than that cooling thinggy?
    and for mobo...790i for now.

    i voted for "give up"

i'd like a really big screen for a start...probly a 120Hz BMF OMFG type LCD.

    some OMFG wow speakers etc.

    then some uber cheap pc

    with a monster graphics card.

    and some cheepo xfi sound

i'll keep watching...see what you end up with

screen or screen/s is first decision, evrything else to suit the screen imo.

some people get one big lcd to suit hd theatre...but if this is standalone pc...then 24" will determine xx spec and 30" will determine xy spec.
    etc.

money no object = 30" lcd with uber graphics gtx 280 sli or 4870X2

is it still auzentech prelude for the sound card? 5.1 surround speakers...etc.

there's just so many options really for sound.
    and screens.

IF i am going to get water cooling, than should i focus more on specs of the gpu or is the zalman cooler on this 8800 GT going to work better than water cooling???
    http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...433&CatId=3585
ps changed the speakers (in my list higher up on this page) that im getting from Bose Companion 3 to Companion 5. Is there any difference besides the fact that its now connected via usb? is that better?
    Also can u readyboost 100% of a 32GB flashdrive?

calm down! those accessories alone look pretty damn nice.
anyway, i haven't been on much this weekend.

SLI/CF = some issues during gameplay, look up microstuttering. driver support is not amazing either, but if you have a 24+" screen, you'll need sli/cf
watercooling - it's pretty simple actually. It will be better than the fan on the 8800gt. watercooling is almost always better than air cooling solutions. If you make good w/c part choices, it will def. be better.

I have no idea about 32gb of readyboost!

It's a good idea to put all of your components in an excel spreadsheet, or word, or a notepad doc, for organizational purposes.

So even though there are cases on all these... i can take em off...so which do u think best would be for cooling with water? and for OC'ing.
