Deja Vu.. I remember comments like this when DFI first released a board that could do what no other board, at the time, could.
There are some good results with this board, I bet Foxconn and Shamino get it dialed in just fine
No apology necessary, you saw first hand, that boards clock ram, not the other way around
You can't just put eleventy billion MHz ram in a board and ask why it won't run its rated speed
With the discrepancy between 1GB and 2GB modules.. I am 99% sure a bios will fix the problems.
Having the timings "line up" can help with 2GB sticks.
Set the Tras at 24.
Set the Trc at Tras + Trp
Set the Trfc to a minimum of Trc + Tras, with 60-72 really helping things out with 2GB modules.
