Do you see 4 or 6 "SATA Channels"?
The Abit IP35-Pro Owner's Manual clearly shows 6 SATA Channels, where my bios setup screen only shows 4 SATA Channels.
Does the screen cursor allow positioning on each separate SATA Channel?
I'm beginning to think my IP35-Pro board may need to be RMA'd back to Abit.
I'd try two things.

1) Unhook the sinlge HDD then try to boot from CDrom.
2) I noticed with some CDroms when choosing to boot from them, it actually has the CDroms name all the way at the bottom of the choice menu. So choose that if its there instead of SATA CDrom.
