i would not have told you to use sata ports 5 & 6 if i were not using them myself...have you made sure that you have selected the dvd drive "BY NAME" in the bios when Raid is set for the intel chipset...when you change from IDE to Raid, the sata dvd drive then shows up by name further down on the list...go into your bios to check.

The relevant bios (version 16.b10) settings are:
under "Standard CMOS Features":
SATA Channel 1.............None
SATA Channel 3.............None
SATA Channel 2.............None
SATA Channel 4.............None
???(no indication for SATA 5 & 6)
Note: the cursor jumps directly from "Time" to "Drive A", skipping over all of the SATA Channels.
Isn't the cursor supposed to stop on each of the SATA Channels also?

under "Advanced Bios Features":

(bootable) Single HD on port 2
(bootable) Raid 0 pair on ports 3 & 4
SATA DVD-RW on port 5

Did I overlook something, in order for SATA Channels 5 & 6 to appear (under "Standard CMOS Features")?
