I am anxious to see if the tool works for anyone and how far they can push their cards.

I am wondering if we can change the 3D Voltages in the BIOS if someone figures out where they are addressed.

So.... who's not at work right now and has a 3870? >_<

Ok, catalyst auto tune just set it to:

    CLocked HD3870.jpg

It shows 872 / 1376 in catalyst which is pretty much max u can do on it, i reckon another program could get it quite a bit higher tho

Test with Proxycon for GPU and Deep Freeze for memory OCs.

Can confirm the BIOS seems to work. Just clocked to 872mhz to check. Flashed with WinTool, no problems

Thanks to W1zzard and whoever else sorted this out.

since its real value is 877 not 890

gpu clock not increase mhz by mhz

    it increase bloks by bloks

OK, current situation is that it can be clocked to 885MHZ in ati overdrive, however it will only show up to 877MHZ in GPU-Z so i dont know whether this is the actual figure or if there's some hardware>software confusion. I'm trying to resolve at the moment

Are you guys using the Stock ATI Dualslot cooler? What kind of temps are you getting on load?

I will flash my card first thing I get home. I am running 41C under load, so I don't think temperature is an issue for me yet. Perhaps someone will figure out how to modify the voltage in the bios like the 2900Pro/XT, which will give us even more headroom
