Seriously though, is there a review that compares a 3870 CF to 8800GT SLI?

GT in SLI is about 50%

    RV670 is about 90%

Well, just skimmed over this thread and Hardwarecanucks has some CrossFire benches, not compared to 8800GT SLI though.

    90% scaling didn't you say? Doesn't look anywhere near 90% to me, more like 40 - 45%.

Well i don't have much time tonight to run tests but i thought i'd throw on some pics here for you guys to see. I'll probably try to run some benches later this week.

I gotta say that these cards at stock with my setup got me 19500 in 3Dmark06 in Vista64..

All he has is 3Dmark? So... not really? How about some real games or something?

Or... better yet, how about a DIRECT TEST between 8800GT SLI and 3870 CF? Now theres an idea! :p

If 3870 CF can beat 8800GT SLI in Crysis, then I'll be impressed.

yes, 3dmark is misleading, especially in ati's case.

    very good news !

im not surprised if true because with beta driver the difference betwen both card are only ~2 FPS so with the catalyst 7.11 Oficial driver ( will release 21th) should be better

A test based on QX6850 and some nice DDR2 RAMs and then some 8800GT Sli and 3870 CF to battle it out is an interesting idea. You will then have to use the 680 chipset in order to run Sli (if I am not wrong) and I’m afraid that most of us that has been down the 680 chipset road will never buy a Nvidia (Intel) chipset board again…

If it turns out that we’ll have Intel boards with Sli support, that my friend is another story but until that happens, you’ll have to go down that Sli road without me…

I think less PSU than a 8800GT SLI, 55nm dude

    Question : In X38 (Pci-e 2.0) is needed the 6pin pci-e connector?

You need 1x6pin connector per card for either 3850 or the 3870.

Unlike the 2900 witch required a 6pin and a 8pin connector per card.

Sli V's xFire would be great to see.... with a single ULTRA in there for further reference.
