So adding the O-Ring bows and Flow is decreasing?
The water is more pressed through the copper fins with the added o-ring right?

There is an internal leak that the oring/gasket seals. This ensures that the flow is better directed over the copper. The nozzles decrease flow a bit, but you still gain a few degrees (at least with the 4.5mm nozzle on dual cores)
