    Lian Li PC 343b - 2 Loops

    Hi guys,

I also went to have beautiful looking Case with enough room to place Hardware and water cooling inside. I wanted to have the two DDC pumps as silent as possible and 2 Triple Rads mounted inside. some Stealth-mod for DVD and LCD etc.

First I took all out and polished the bottom. But now just let us see pics. They say more than a thousand words.

Many thanks to the other 343b-owners who gave me inspiration for this built.

Pretty, beautiful, awesome.... whatever! This case is really one of the best.

Lots of space to mount and hide stuff.

Alll the stuff, that came with the case.

I bought a panel with window, because I know, that the windows will come very much later. I need to have an idea haw the windows should look like. For the meanwhile I have this bought panel then.

A little test, if it all fits in there.

The bottom should be polished, but without sanding, there is no possibility.

    1200 wet sand:

    Looks better than without sanding!

So I decided to get a better metal polish and 2000 wet sand later.

Here I needed to cut out these metal plates according to the mount of the rad close to the front.

I cut a bigger hole out of the mainboard-tray. Maybe this will be necessary room for tubing and cables later.

    Here comes the final polish:

    ...polished with the metal polish.

Nice Result I guess. Twice with 2000 wet sand.

Once again with the metal polish and Autosol chrome finish:

So now I started with the pump-tray.

These pump holders will be mounted on the tray.
For the tray I took the part I cut out of the mainboard tray.
It is perfect for am mount. to the backside of the mainboard tray.

Who knows the guys from mod my machine? www.modmymachine.com
There is a guy called shoggy. He created that Sandwich.
Lots of guys in germany make their own sandwiches now.

I coloured the orange with a black water resistant colour.

That is, what it looks like, when it is together. It swallows all the noise.

I call this Shoggy Sandwich the "Peebee Laing-Dual-Edition".

The orande rubber sponge is fixed to the black material with hot melt adhesive, or whatever you call that

So that is all for the first now. I will update, if I have new stuff for this thread.

It wears your arms out, eh?
Very rewarding once its at a mirror polish though and gives you bragging rights over all the guys who gave up half way.

    Keep going!

    Thank you guys.

It took me 2 days investing about 3-4 hours all together. But you are right. after that your arms feel really heavy and it makes tired.

I think that this result is very nice. Before my hardware goes in, I will polish it a last time. But no sanding anymore.

Next stuff to do is creating my Rad-constructs inside of the case. Well the one in the 5.25 bay is no problem at all. But the other one under the removeable top panel will be a little bit more work. I think I will replace the top panel with mesh.

    Very nice work Subscribed.

You've put a lot of thought into that pump tray. I finally decided to just put mine on some rubber feet. Not sure it's going to be enough though, so may need to review that after testing.

Are you planning on using the standard Lian-Li HDD extension kits in the right bays? If so, you may want to check how far they intrude into the case. The hdd itself intrudes an additional 17mm beyond the extension kit. It's a mistake I made when I first positioned my pump on the rear of the motherboard tray. I didn't consider the additional space required by the hdd.

Good work on the polishing. I wouldn't have had the patience to do all that hard work .

Well I guess, I am going to place the HDD in the other part of the Case in front of one of the 120mm fans in the 3-bay brackets with rubbers like Cooltek´s "disc silencers"
3 Single Slots are used for DVD LCD an controlling unit and the others on the left are completely free. One triple is mounted on the right, where the pumps are. So I wouldn´t get into trouble with my pump tray.

Kind of like the separate V series thread. Keeps the specific knowledge accessible.

But if you once have had a Lian Li, you wouldn´t wanna have another case again.
    That look is amazing

Do you have a special Lian Li section now?
I just posted it here according to the other posters.
Actually it is a Case / Casemod thing which also fits into the section Watercooling.

Here is OK as long as its LC'd.
Where and how the rads and pumps are fitted is one of the more challenging parts of LC. So it belongs here for that alone.

    Xcuse me... what is LC'd/LC?

@all: Swiftech MCRES micro-res users. The DDC+ has lots of problems with some reservoirs due to their power. Are the swiftech mcres very calm & quiet?

    LC = Liquid Cooled

And yes, MC-RES reservoirs bleed quickly, don't bubble up and are quiet.

kk LC'd (sometimes things are less difficult as they seem )

..donīt bubble up and quiet. That is exactly, what I wanted to hear. I already have them here anyways.

As you could see on that picture:

In that Res I needed a filter sponge. Without this thing, the pump did not only get bubbles into the loop, it really got stuck by air.
