ooooooooooh. Someone told me it was an injection molded washer. I saw the silicone mess just the same and shaved it away after I took the block apart. That makes more sense. Thanks for the explanation.

BTW. Not saying I know this first hand or anything, but a little solicone in your DDC impeller might make it pretty noisy and cause you to think it's failing. Just saying, it could happen
