What Bios revision is on the board and what CPU do you have. One time (and I have had several P5B-D's) I needed to install a old CPU to boot to an updated bios. I was having the same problem you are haveing.

thanks for reply havn't got board in front of me but rev104 or something close...oh iv just emailed seller saying faulty, damn havn't got a old chip layin around, have got a celeron D...??any use for this socket.
