you look like you have room for at least one 80mm fan...you can use 60mm if you like as long as they push some CFM's.

my system temp is around 30C...i think that sensor is close to the NB and maybe you do not have that firmly seated on the NB chipset...i also have a 70mm (taped to the board) sitting in front (between VC and NB heatsink) of the NB blowing air onto the NB heatsink...the only thing is that the VC is an 8800 GTS which gets damn warm, even on the backside...don't know if the that 70mm is much help taking very warm air coming off from the VC and blowing it onto NB heatsink.
yep its the original plastic thingies, i didn't think it would make THAT much of a different since it mounted on quite tightly... or at least it looked like it did. Do you think that could be the problem here? If so, /off to homedepot! ><

On topic: has anyone heard if using a 4pin power connector instead of 8pin causes issues? Thinking of recommending this board to someone, but they don't have a PSU with an 8pin EPS plug. Would it matter? I could tell them to buy a new PSu, but they would then have to buy a cheaper mobo.

Im curious about this as well. I own a PC Power and Cooling 510 Sli. It has a 24 Pin ATX/ 4 Pin ATX Power connectors. Will this power supply work and hold up to OC'ing?

YES!...i told you what to use...at least 1/2" in length...maybe jump to 3/4" to give you slightly more wiggle room.

i also made sure the heatpipe was sitting level on the table top...i had to do a little bending of the tubes to get it to not wobble.

Sounds good, I will give it a try. I was mainly concerened about the 4 Pin (Square) ATX power connector vrs. the 8 Pin (Rectangle) power connector. I read the manual and it says both can be used although one is from "240 Something" compliance. Not quite sure what that is.

i am really liking this mobo so far. Havent flashed to a newer Bios yet...Quick question though: During startup, the 2nd screen pops up saying something about RAID, under that it states my DVD-RW drive, then says press any key to continue (dont have to press, it continues on its own), any way to bypass this screen, it really slows down my boot times

yes...if you do not want to use raid, you just disable the "raid" option in the bios under intergrated perpherials.

Anyone want to give this BIOS a try it's labeled B12.
http://images.anandtech.com/reviews/...M629B_12AT.rar

It's the one given to Anandtech for use when benchmarking the IP35 Pro in their upcomming review.

I'm not sure if I should flash it cause I'm scared it may break something

anyone try it yet?

I fixed my problem by renaming the file and using that name with awdflash.

Anyhow it looks to me like uguru reads core temps now instead of the usual cpu diode. It is so close to what everest and speedfan report.

After a few quick benchmarks it seems like performance is increased slightly. Nothing huge so don't expect miracles, but it is slightly better than it was.

Uguru is not registering the correct temperature anymore for my B3-Q6600...hmmmm, wondering if they did that for the newer "G0" stepping processors...i am priming 3 cores at the moment or 75% across the board and it is reading only 43C from Uguru...core temp 095 says about 65-67C

This is my first Intel build and I had to apply a lot of pressure to get the cpu seated. It is in the right position it just took a lot of pressure. Is this normal?
