The overdrive bearly gives you any play in speeds
858/900. Garbage ram can go much further than that easy.

Unless you take a 6-Pin and modifiy it so that it brings 2 grounds over to the other 2 pins. There was a good screen shot of an adapator for 6-8 Pin on the forums somewhere.

the CCC brings an option to set the fan speed afaik, that's one we can't do on amd gpu clock tool
and also the tool doesn't work on XFire setup, so we can't OC the card w/o overdrive in Xfire, and also the tool is no go on vista

i know that , i just ask because i hear that was a way of use overdrive with 2x6 pin .

i always used atitool to OC my ATI´s cards ,(now AMDTOOL) but the overdrive is cool to see the Temps and i want to compare temps with AMDTOOL VS Overdrive , just that .

CCC never had Fan Speed Option but i cant find any software with FAN Speed option that work with X2900 (Atitool doesnt work , rivatuner and ATItraytools neither )

    thnks anyway guys

    regards

Yes and only the one nearest the board edge needs to be shorted to the common.

    also here is 05 score

    cpu @ 4.4g

one more thing is 06 i can pass sm3 tests @ 880/1080 but the 2nd sm2 test crashes also that was not max on 05 just started

also i modified the heat sink which gave no increase in scores or o/c

2 big fans stuck on just droped the temps about 20c load and about 25 idle
I bought a his 2900xt and it must come tommorow or thrusday. After i saw the noise that i already know from my X850pro factory fan i already begin to think how to modify the Arctic cooling Ati Silencerv5 to put it on 2900xt without removing the cooper spreaders and the plate on the back but momo gived me a better idea.I can't understand one thing about both nvidia and ati why they don't put BIG fans like arctic cooling produce because bigger fans and blades = reduce noise signifianly..Little blades and little fans like the one used in cooling NB on mainboards are so sucky..I have a bad experience with the one on my MSI K8n Neo2 Plat that is noiser than the whole system..
Momo i want to how you made the connection between fans and the PCB..Did you throw the cable ties in the pcb holes? Can you put more pics? How is the noise for those two fans? Is there any db rating writen on them ?
I look at AC case fans for that alternate cooling solution and those are rated at 25db so the sound is very nice..With two fans it will be awesome card with o/c and silent like an Ati silencer.. EXcellent.

    Thank you.

other option is to use "-nosysteminfo" switch in the 3DMark shortcut, but then you wont be able to send results to ORB
Thank a lot macci, I can run and has score for AQUAMARK now
