I reckon we'll see noticeable gains as soon as Microsoft updates DirectX and more importantly, optimises the HLSL (high-level shader language) compiler in it for the shaders found in R600.
Totally forgot about the HLSL. Good catch, I know I read some things on it but it sounded like it was already implemented, guess more or less they where talking about when its implemented.
