You mean you never met Lithan?
AMD could simply do what Intel did last year. That argument about not wanting to hurt current sales is BS IMHO. If they think folks are waiting from K8L and not buying Intel, those same folks are sure as hell not buying Athlons and Opterons, common senseThank goodness for low-end sales.
For every AMD Fanboy on this site sake, they better hope K8L is not anywhere close to 40% faster than everything. If it is, they can cheer the win, but their Wallets and Purses will cry out in pain LOL! For the record, I made this same warning to PetNorth months before X2's launched. I was pretty close to the Launch prices.

there yo go bringing intel into a amd thread again lol, if that was someone droping a dig at amd you would be crying like a girl.qft!
All K10 or whatever to do is be competitive and its greatness will be yelled about from the mightiest of Websites from far and wide LOL!
All I'm saying is that if AMD truly wanted to inform their supporters, users, fans, stockholders and anyone else, they could show what they have. That was what I referred to "AMD could simply do what Intel did last year". In the past, when AMD had something, it was leaked or even talked about openly. When they didn't, it was kept quiet. Example, AMD knew Athlon64 kicked booty so they showed it over a year ahead of time and at only 800MHz. Intel does the same thing BTW.
I honestly don't know what Barkie or Penny will do. I was just saying that folks hoping for some kind of sweeping victory might want to rethink their view. *IF* K10 was 15% faster, what would AMD sell it for? X2 showed they are greedy Bastards! Have we learned anything yet?
IMHO, When both are on the Market, we'll find they'll be app dependent and trading off wins. Fans will have knock-down drag-out fights over who's better. This will be a boom for Forums all over the web.

Fast computers breed slow, lazy programmers
The price of reliability is the pursuit of the utmost simplicity. It is a price which the very rich find most hard to pay.

None nn-step . But you must have been doing good stuff . You won't believe the no. Intels puts out but you add to anything amd says.
Its been proven time and time again that AMD has been out and out lying to the public.
Intel it seems has been very forthright is what they discuss.
You are the same nn-step that said penryn was a simple shrink are you not?
45 % higher FP than conroe is penryn .
20 % higher game play at same clock as conroe.
Simply put in the majority of apps. Penryn will be 20% faster the conroe clock for clock . Something your in denial about but its well documented here at XS. Than you look at the O/C of the Intels K10 hasn't got a chance/
Its A lot like your OS you can show it but it still doesn't cut the mustard. LOL
you personally calculated that Penryn doesn't have even 2 Million more transistors for the core. Which is less than the original Pentium Pro. SOOO how can you expect such huge performance improvement so such a small addition of transistors to the Core and just 50% more Cache (which definitely will not give even 10% more performance, even in anyone's wildest dreams)

As is normal for you . You got it wrong. I said Penryn has 18% more logic transitors than Conroe. AT said 23% more logic.
Whats with you ? You can't read what the AT article said? Or is it you believe all things true come from AMD and all false statements come from Intel .
Trueth is nn-step AMD is going to be sucking rear tit for along time to come.

Actually nn-step Parrot doesn't fit me. I think for myself. It is you who copy everthing amd says to be as fact.Than you add your own stuff. LOL
We can go back threw all the post . What you will find is nn-step wrong 99% of the time. Than when things go badly for ya . You resort to flaming.
You hang in there tho. Someday you might get 2% correct.
Come on guys, nobody wants to read this crap about fighting. Keep it in PM.. let's talk about barcelona...

Hmmmm, can't waitAMD's quad core consumes 95W
Maximal TDP for Agena FX, Barcelona
AMD's upcoming Agena FX and Barcelona native quad core CPU's will consume less than 95 Watts. We all expected more from this native quad core on 65 nanometre but I guess AMD pulled some kind of miracle.
We are talking about the desktop part but Barcelona should not be much different. A source close to AMD also claims that despite the power efficiency the CPU should be 40 percent faster but it is not clear from what.
It looks that a single core from this device would need less than 24 Watts and at some crazy speeds this is more than good result.
Agena FX and other desktop parts comes in second part 2007.
