I have a tj right here, I will measure it

well jeeze, the TJ-07 has a damn thick shell.... no wonder its so damn expensive - you would need a highly custom ultra heay duty roller just to do that shell right.

the side panels of the tj are 1.3mm alu and the inside construction is 2mm. Unless you want this case to be $600-700 I suggest you DONT build it like a TJ-07

+1, just measured the curved body section on the top of mine: ~9.4mm
