    Best WC Case

Hey everyone, I'm preparing to build a new comp soon and watercooling is a going to be necessary lol this is the first watercooled system i've made so i dont have much experience with this type of work so i thought id ask for suggestions. So far ive looked at the Silverstone tj09 and thermaltake xaser vi cases, along with the thermaltake armour+

what do you guys think of these cases, and what do you recommend?
not sure if it matters, but i intend to use a double loop (havent picked out parts for this yet) either an asus rampage II or foxconn bloodrage, hopefully 2 gtx 295's a i7 920, 6gigs+ ddr3, and atleast 2 WD caviar black 1tb plus a velociraptor 300gig
    anyhelp is greatly appreciated
    Antec 1200
    Foxconn Bloodrage
    Kingwin Mach 1 1000w
    Asus 295gtx
    Western Digital Caviar black 1tb
    Intel i7 920 OC'd to 3.4ghz
    OCZ Gold 6g DDR3@1554

yet another which case thread! yippee! For inspiration go look at the Watercooling worklogs....they will give you the best idea of which cases you can use with minimal modding......the cases id recomend are things like Coolmaster Cmos S, LLv2000 or Tj07!

Cosmos S, any of the larger LiLis, TJ-07 (probably the easiest option), TJ-09/10 (which you can fit two loops in, it'll just require more modding and use of separate 120s on the second loop), Antec 900/1200 with MCR320s in paraflow, anything by Mountain Mods but particularly the new Pinnacle, etc etc. As said above, browse the worklogs section.

Is it just me or do people ask questions in groups? First there were 3 (now 4) threads on DFI water blocks. Then there were 3 threads on white tubing. Then there were a billion threads on "which rad". Now we are getting a bunch of case questions. Nothing against OP or any of the threads, it just seems weird. I smell a conspiracy some where <Dons tin foil hat>...

Haha, never mind the 101 threads on "which x58 board should I get?"

in all honesty your probs googleing these cases and seeing what you think of the images, but they dont tell u anything about the case.

Worklogs are THE best place to know which case you want!

I just finished a Lian Li G70 case which was huge and nice, but I ended up not liking it for two simple reasons:

    1. The motherboard standoffs are short and it makes me nervous how close waterblock backplates and screw heads are to the motherboard tray. Silverstone has much taller standoffs and I can appreciate that now.

    2. I like a removable motherboard tray. After having this on the TJ-03, I now remember why I liked it only when the G70 did not have it. I am not talking about the half-ass removeable mobo tray like the newer Lian Lis have, but a full removable tray where you can install all the PCIx cards, run the tubing and all and slide it back in for final connections.

These may be petty, but I'm like that.

I ended up getting the TJ-07 for the above reasons and as said above after hours of looking through the work logs.

CM Stacker stc-01. I own one and I'm happy with it. You can easily mount a 3 fan rad on the bottom and always get cold fresh air to your cooling. It's cheap too.

If money is no object I would go with Lian Li's, not a fan of cubes like Mountain Mods.

Anything by MountainMods or Danger Den, though expensive. Also, RocketFish and SilverStone TJ's are good.

I love my TJ07...very roomy case that can easily fit 2 loops..
