Hehe thanks guys for the kind words

Well i havent make a cascade for long time. A really good friend who is a really gooddd overclocker asked me if i can make one for him. I said ok but you have to wait! I started collecting the parts in the middle of june. Lets take a look at them:

A really big condeser, a huge fan, alco safety device ,two gauges for high pressure, plate hx in a shoebox with foam , flex hose ~1m

The compressors i choose are for first stage 18000btu and for second 12000btu. Gases R507 for the first and R1150 for the second.

The evaporator is a special edition made by eleven. 50mm diameter.

    Thanks mike for the support!

    A big galvanized plate

Also a small condeser as desuperheater and an auto oilseparator.
And i started soldering the stuff.

My small secret in this cascade is that after many many many many attemps to find the best capillary for 1st stage i finally found it!(I also tried cpev, tev) I used not one but TWO capillaries in parallel. 1,8m x2 0,78 type. I used that cause 1.2 capillary type or 1.5 neither worked ok and with smaller type i had very high pressures. The result is that now i have a very strong first stage and we all know how much important is this. Idle -62c and load -57c to the exit of the hx. High pressure is at load ~14bar at ~25c ambient.

Ethylene came after 20 days of waiting

And i reached -113 with 3,55cm of 0,91 capillary type in second stage.

I hooked it to my 6850es,p5k-e

Very good contact. Take a look where i put the thermal probe. It is the yellow cable.

Some first results cause i still havent tune it
    Here at 3600@1,36real idle

    and here at little load

Now i fed my processor with 1,87 and i ran some test at ~5250
    here at spi 32m

and here at wprime 1024m which uses both cores.

    hexus

    Superpi 1m .

    max cpuz

I am waiting the top of the case to finish it. I will update when it is ready.
The color will be a very nice red. It is called "Rocky red" and it is paint for expensive cars. Also i have to insulate many pipes and tune the cascade for quad cores.

Thanks for looking-reading and sorry for my really bad english.
    Christos

    Nice but erm

TWO capillaries in parallel. 1,8m x2 0,78 type
As in 0.78 inches? Thats like 2cm, they don't look that. Is it 0.078? So almost 2mm? If so, wow thats some big capillary. Ever thought of experimenting with 3 or maybe even 4 capillaries?

Also: Ooooooh I thought you meant 0.78 inches :P That would be overly extreme

What temps do you hope for after tuning? Also, you don't appear to have any subcooling on your 1st stage cap tubes, is there aynthing you could wrap them round? It may help get even lower temps

I hope u took into account the amount of power this system will draw and if a standard household circuit can handle this power draw and also that theres usually 2 to 4 wall plugs on a single breaker so anything else thats drawing power from that breaker is gonna add to the total amount the circuit can handle!
