    Evap for Quad Core beasts.

I am building a 30k btu cascade these days for a friend. I asked eleven to make a special edition for this project.

It is bigger than the previous. 50mm diameter. Capilary tube or cpev in the middle and of course a really long channel

When i will solder it i'll show some more photos.

Special thanks to 11 for the support

The evap has a long path, keeps the refrigerant above the cpu, and leaves enough room in the channels for expansion. Not to mention elevens designs have worked very well.

Because of results they have had in the past with that very design leads me to say it will still perform well . And Unseen has no problem putting together a quality build. I wouldn't do the 50mm dia. but it's not me. I didn't say it will work the best but I have no problem saying it ought to work great. Just MHO.
    Plus I like being optimistic.

Both optimists and pessimists contribute to our society. The optimist invents the airplane and the pessimist the parachute.
    Thanks to Gil

I never seen a reason to jump out of perfectly good airplane. But Gosmeyer has done it.

Noob are you trying to label people??? I think your reasoning is not correct,Everything I do I asked myself, what can go wrong? and plan for that also.

I,m a eternal optimist. It's called just being prepared.Things can and do go wrong.Understanding the risks and preparing for them is just prudent, not a pessimist.

Err? Anyways that evap looks amazing, hell I'd put something like that as an emblem on a car, trick it out and see how many people break their neck doing a double-take

I'll be comparing an NF11FX/ Chilly1 Condenser/ Chilly1 2007 vs NF11FX/Chilly1 Condenser/Cryostar in about a week, damn near exact same builds so I think it'll be a good comparison to see how the different designs react.

You got it,back to the core question? What can I do to make it faster.

Why is everyone forgetting this is a PC forum & specifically this is the direct die phase section as it relates to phase change cooling for the purpose of CPU overclocking and cooling other PC components to increase performance?

Where has all the posts of the overclocks gone???? how guys debated for months, builds were done and the owner was proud to show off a small gain in speed, only to want more. Now the number on the thermometer seems to override a great hard earned OC .

I bet I can count on one hand the number of OC's posted is the DD phase section in the last 6 months.Yes I know where they are posted but they used to post here also.

Thats what my rant in Pete's thread was about. Where is the making what you got run faster???? not all about the new chip on the block. Many don't have the money to buy all new hardware every 3 months. It's about both......Where have all the older chips gone??? I wish there was a smiley in a rocking chair for that last sentence.

Well for builders it gets a bit monotonous if you were to whip out a rig to bench with on each build as you'd just be reporting the same results. If you do check the Overclocking subforum you do see some examples with people saying whose cooling they are using. It's just easier and more universal to use a loadtester which is why we had all the talk about them in the past and to this day.

Good work there Unseen. I'm eager to hear your results.

@ Walt: I'm with you regarding hanging on to my hardware for a while. In fact that is what got me into phase change in the first place. I didn't want to buy a new processor ever 6 months so I started doing research into overclocking and cooling...which has lead me here. I'm old fashioned will always be a little behind the latest and greatest hardware but thankfully each chip I buy from now on will be super cooled and overclocked.

I have never seen any evaps compared on any forum. Same goes with ln2/dice pots, all you ever see is someones new design/revision, never any hard evidence that the new design is really any better than the old one.

A while back I had a small single stage with a Chilly 1 evap and had been running it on a system I was benching with, I built a simple cap in cap evap on a Maze4 gpu base and installed it on that single stage.... running it on the same bench setup I could find no performance difference between the cap in cap and the Chilly evap. I realize this is not a perfect test, but it raises questions about why some evaps are considered better than others? Too many parts are bought by "name", not performance. I think the differences between the "top" evaps will be very small.

I would think the evap designers/marketers would want this comparison testing... if they really do think their design is better
