    Thumbs up G.Skill F2-8500CL5D-4GBPK results

Quite many people have these modules but there is not a single thread here nor on the g.skill subfoum.

So I made one. I'm gonna play with my Rampage and the memory is one major area of intervention.

Guys, post your results, with bios settings and everest (no sandra, thanks) screen.

Edit: OMG, I DIDNT SEE I had wrote 8000 instead of 8500

I peeked in here to see about these also. They seem to be really popular on newegg and the price is great...let's see what they can do.

Yep but i opened a new thread specifically for the pc8500 rated modules, which have 8 layer pcb.

Also G.skill is releasing a Pi version of this kit with better heatsink, and 8500 and 8888 bin:
    http://newgskill.web-bi.net/bbs/view...esc=asc&no=119
    and
    http://newgskill.web-bi.net/bbs/view...esc=asc&no=124

1100 is the avg speed to which people are able to run these sticks with a good setup, but thats still not xtreme enough for me

I am well aware of the 8500 and 8800 versions...GSkill is my favorite brand.

Did you look at the thread title you enter for this thread? It's quite confusing... if you are talking about the PI series and I'm guessing 4GB version you should get the title changed to

    F2-8500CL5D-4GBPI
    or
    F2-8800CL5D-4GBPI

probably why no one is replying to this thread because there are other F2-8000CL5D-4GBPQ threads....

Hope I don't come across as a smart a** not my intent.

No, i wanted to hear results of the F2-8500CL5D-4GBPQ. I know most people bought the 8000 version and attained good results with those too, but this thread is specific to the pc8500.

Ok be stubborn then. I wonder why everyone keeps talking to you about those sticks???

If you think that thread title works for you, and no one knows exactly what part number you are talking about until post 9 and you refuse to edit your first post to clarify, then by all means stick with it. GLTY. Just trying to help you.....

Haha. I was starting to worry about you! Now we are good.

    Let's see some results now!

I believe these are the same IC's from OCZ, if you are playing with Rampage I'd give this a look for a starting point.

Interesting. I'm waiting to have cooler weather before playing more.

I have to say that 1066 with perf level 5 gave me very good results and 0 problems:

    thanks.

BTW your HDD temps are VERY hot. I had a seagate ruin a bit because it was at around 55°C for long hours.

I never noticed that! I'm working on a new case for my EVGA 780i system and will be putting the Gigabyte motherboard in the Thermaltake case which has plenty of 120mm fans. I just hope those HDDs hold out until I get that done.
