    Weak.

    Nice work, though.

For my part I know nothing with any certainty, but the sight of the stars makes me dream.

That's some quality info you provide there. Thanks!

Pretty good 06 score for 4GHz Wolfdale too. So it looks it will have a slight advantage over 8800GTS (of course won't change my fact that this 9800 series sucks still but at least it's something).

untill G100 coming out, there will be no "significant" improvment on Perf_lvl 'coz of all same design & structure.

    It is?

My 8800GTS does nearly identically, other than slightly slower ram.

Is this longest we've gone without a major GPU update in a long time?
"To exist in this vast universe for a speck of time is the great gift of life. Our tiny sliver of time is our gift of life. It is our only life. The universe will go on, indifferent to our brief existence, but while we are here we touch not just part of that vastness, but also the lives around us. Life is the gift each of us has been given. Each life is our own and no one else's. It is precious beyond all counting. It is the greatest value we have. Cherish it for what it truly is."

naw, i think 8800GT was a pretty good update, and that was only about 4 months ago.

Major as completely new eh? Such as from 7 series to 8 series....9 series is just a tweaked 8 eh? Guess that happens when there is little to no competition.

I think its safe to assume he meant update that makes for true inarguable speed improvement, not just a price friendly refinement. Besides in that context the 8600GTS to 9600GT is the update to brag about.

China's NDAs usually end early. Failing that, It's a gift, purchased from an errant merchant, or the card's "Hot"

i still plan on using my step-up if the card comes out in time.

I'm surprised it can do 850 MHz with only 0.02v more than the G92 GTS. Ahh, must be because of better PCB/PWM/larger heatsink and slightly better quality chip. On the GTS, the voltage has to be increased by a full 0.1v before it can do 800 MHz.

Shaders at 2160Mhz is amazing, BUT

    BUT...

    BUT...

The memory still sucks man, big-time and there are still only 16 ROP's. We need a 100% better performing card for those DX10 Vista games, not just a 20% better card... and it's long over-due.

Not mine! 801Mhz stock volts. But shaders won't go higher than 1905

8800GTS G92 with a better PWM layout and a price premium? Mmm, the sweet, delicious smell of market stagnation.
