So i get screwed AGAIN?!?????...rev 3.3 at the end of the month, yet rev 2.0 was only released first week of December?.....PLEASE!
This is not fair and i DEMAND Gigabyte offer me a rev 3.3 board in exchange for my rev 2.0.

Interesting. Probably a typo but that shows ds3 having ich8r. Meh, I'm pretty thrilled personally to have fixed my rev2, especially since my rev1 was dying. Maybe if 3.3 is as good as people hope.....

-Back to topic- I think that the rev 3.3 will have a different SKU than rev 1.0 or 2.0 because of the newer 1333 fsb cpu. Hope I'm not wrong!
i think you are since they are being released as the same model in the interview :S

Didn't read the article about the interview.... but how do new Conroe E6x50 buyers will found the way to get the good 1333 board then?(I'm not talking of us overclockers)Originally Posted by eXceededgoku

Nevermind, found out that E6X50 will appear in Q3 so by that time all rev 2.0 stock will be cleared.

guys in real world we wouldnot need FSB1333 (rev3.3 or higher) for example when you buy E6600=2.4GHz 1066(266x9) and OC it to 7x340=2.4GHz you have same performance with E6550
Simple Performance Compare :
E6600=2.4GHz 266x9 4MB ---> E6600=2.4GHz 340x7 4MB = E6550 333x7 4MB
then Richard be patient for YorkField or Wolfdale

I'm getting tired of this BIOS crap. With F7 I was at 3500mhz 500fsb with 4-4-4-12 timings at 1.475v core. Now it is just unstable with the f8 bios. I flashed back to f7 and it is acting weird. It may have been due to the fact that I oc'd it to 3700 with a 528fsb with over 1.5v. Now my cpu needs more volts to remain stable...I just haven't found stable again...any suggestions?

on the mobo version issue........
DS3 was out of stock at the egg for a few weeks and are now back as of Sat. The price seems to have come down ~$15 to $133. What are my chances of this new shipment being V 3.3?? The egg will not guarantee any version (of course) during picking of order.

I would said no chance at all, V3.3 is not out yet.Originally Posted by wazoo99
what's the verdict on f10 bios? still cold boot issue?
Update- i have now RMA'd my *second* OCZ 850W PSU. I am very unhappy with this new OCZ product, the rails are very close to the top end of the ATX spec and in my experience BREAKS the spec, the rails are WAY too high on the 12V and low on the 5V.
So i have RMA'd to get the third PSU....if it turns out to be the same then i will either try for a refund or sell it and move over to another brand...
F9 bios for DQ6 2.0, no cold boot issue as yet. My OC holds at 425x8 but i need more voltage then i did with rev 1.0, USB problems are still a major issue but i do now have a new Netgear USB dongle. It appears to be working better then the old one so perhaps it was a faulty device, however i cannot acccount for why my Logitech wireless keyboard/mouse has been affected also.
F9 bios would be great and quite stable, even the X-Fi problem has been fixed, but i cannot account for these bizarre USB issues...i hope GB investigate this.
It's annoying to note a new rev 3.3, does anyone have pics of the mobo?...what has been changed on the PCB?

How long are your RMAs through Gigabyte taking? I sent my DS3 to Gigabyte over a week ago and I'm wondering when they'll send a replacement. Life on an Athlon 700 file server kind of sucksOriginally Posted by Richard Dower

got the dq6 rev 2 today from newegg.
threw my chip in and i easily got it to boot up into windows after i installed xp at 3.6ghz 1:1 ratio with my ram @ 5-5-5-15 timings and 1.42v in bios. didnt stress test it but i will. still installing stuff.
im running it nice and easy at just about 3.3ghz 1.375v in bios +.3 on the mem to bring it to OCZ spec of 2.1 and temps are in the low 50's under orthos load. i can dig this 24/7 but ill push it more.
btw this is an 'A' batch e6400 chip. packed in late october i have the box laying around.

So with GA soon to release Ver 3.3 followed by who knows how many more revisions, I wonder if we can expect as many new bios release's for the Rev 2.0 boards that still seem a little buggy![]()

no option to change the command rate on this mobo?

ill get higher today, my ocz ram has promos chips but it should do 900mhz at 5-5-5-15. i got it to 3.6 on 4-4-4-12 timings, i am pretty sure this chip has some more speed in it. voltage at 3.6 was 1.42. this board can move - i just wish it had a command rate option where i could run it at lower 24/7 oc's.
