With $899 MSRP you don't need a crystal ball to see the coming "Yeearggh! Evil EenVeeDeeya haxorz?! How darez they make a card that performs about as well as their $999 card and charge $899 for it!?!?! If they were a sensible price like $300, I'd buy two!".

I'd also predict that if it offers 75% of GTX690 performance, they will not only sell out at that price, they will be hard to get for a long time. (remembers trying to buy a GTX690 for weeks till giving up and keeping 680 SLi)

Good news if true, always fun to see new high end cards.

IDK that would be pretty disappointing imo. They didn't go charging more for GTX580 or GTX285. I would be a bit surprised if they literally charged twice the msrp of the year old GTX680.

You can bet that you would be seeing people complaining about Nvidia selling a single gpu for $900 that you can't overclock. Most people aren't that big of a fanboy. At $700 I would be all over one, at $900 not a chance in hell.
