Yea, I know how to manually configure this thing.

You need to open the injFX_Settings file inside the Skyrim folder using notepad. Go under Tonemap and change '#define Saturation 1.00 // use negative values for less saturation. '

On the full saturation mod, it uses 1.50, on the low saturation it uses 0.70. If you find the low saturation to be too much, then try 0.50, it removes the over saturation and keeps the original look of the game, but slightly more vibrant and bold.

I use it without sharpen or AA, and 1.0 saturation, as the saturation works a lot better without the rather horrible sharpen effect, and disabling AA lets you manually use MSAA + Transparency rather than forcing FXAA.

A couple of new gameplay videos I made.

Firstly a Dragon attacks the College of Winterhold:

Second is a short clip of my Breton laying out a pure overdose of ownage against a mage boss with his Dragonskin power

Hate to say it, but Skyrim is getting boring to me .
The missing lv up's for jumping and running takes alot of the fun out of lv'ing up.
Now I just hack and slash, a few days of that has me pooped out.

Deadric weapons are the best it seems yet again, there doesn't seem to be anything new about this game at all other then the graphics mainly.

I've been playing game normally, for the most part, got I think 3 voices so far.
I don't know..., I'll continue to play the game a bit more but I don't think it'll stay around on my pc much longer.
Definitely not worth money to buy to be completely honest.
Morrowind is still king of the western type of rpg's I think.
They all have crappy storys, but at least morrowind is fun to free roam on...
This one is fun for a little while but I'm bored of it already :\.

Btw, anyone noticed the buggy equipping?
Press the left mouse button and it acts as if you pressed the right button and etc.
Makes it difficult to assign a spell to the left hand and a sword to the right.

    My copy, every time too...
After a while the sound goes to crap, then the video, then it crashes my pc.
    Every single time.
When the sound goes crappy like that I exit the game completely, then restart and it's ok again for another half hour to an hour or so.

I'm addicted to this game, I love it. Critics and users alike also love it. 95% so far on Metacritic. I love being able to hunt around and do all sort of different types of missions at my own leisure. I specifically love aiming toward being as evil as possible. I haven't had this much fun since the original NWN.

If leveling up just by jumping and running is something you think gets you a deserved level up then my opinion differs greatly.

Killing dragon's are a challenge but I love it. Never had any issues with it performance wise and I am now level 20. I have so far played more other quests than the main story, which is my style of choice.

I am a member of the Dark Brotherhood, the Thieves Guild, the Imperial Legion and a member of the Circle of Companions. Just got me new bow, and now I am actually able to kill those giants without too much difficulty :-)

Me and my house mate are playing this on a daily basis, and is awesome to share our experiences of how we went about the ways in which we did things in our own games.

Should use lightning spells against mages . But I like that you have more spells and magicka than me at level 21 - ofcourse I'm playing a Redguard with Sword+Spell and my Destruction skill is around 60, but I quickly run out of magicka even though I have the Destruction perks. Guess I should spend all my points on magicka after level-up now, seems much more fun than hack-n-slash.

PS: Did you try the Meridian Statue quest ? The boss-mage in that is a real tough one - his fireballs were often having one-hit KO on me (maybe a bug ?) . Had to try thrice , and even then got my companion killed ( can't seem to find her anywhere )
    Va fail, dh'oine.

Im fire specced though, and I'd rather that mage bosses have enough Magicka left to throw against my Dragonskin so it keeps my blue bar recharged

Normal trash mobs of mages burn to death in no time too, I just need to change to use frost against flame atronachs.

If I ever find it I'll try it. Bretons have so much magic defense its almost like fighting caster bosses in god mode, plus I'm adding magic resistance perks from Alteration on top.

@ Tao~ I got that Meridian Quest. I'm level 22 now (almost 23) I may just have to challenge myself and try it out. I'm Red Guard focused on Hack-n-slash lol that's why I chose the class.

@ bhavv - Dragonskin, is that a shout? Also, that guy you were fighting reminds me of one of the *ghouls* you fight when getting one of the Shouts on top of one of the random Icey mountains I ran into. Warewolf, normal defense, and my NPC follower didn't do much, just a lot of running around and advantageous attacks back and forth were really the only things that worked for me. Is awesome how those Brenton's just suck up all that Magic that would otherwise have my character obliterated.

No Dragonskin is the Breton's racial ability - 60 seconds of 50% spell absorption once per day. Their permanent ability on top of that is 25% magic resistance.

They are both nerfed a little, and buffed a lot from earlier games, as they used to have 50% magic resistance which has now been halved, while Dragonskin was buffed from a 50% shield bonus to 50% spell absorption.

High Elf casters would be completely drained trying to fight that boss as all it does is spam lightning, but Bretons get a minute of soaking it up into magicka.

All characters can also take a permanent 30% magic resistance and 30% spell absorption, but they require heavy speccing into Alteration perks. So far I havnt yet found either of these in a spell or enchantment form, so I cant craft a set of magic resist gear yet.

Loving the gameplay; hating the character menu, skill tree presentation, inventory, & favorites setup. Liking the character development of skill trees/perks over straight stats. Killed my thane companion Lydia by accident. Ooops.

anyone who plays a spell castor type of character? where do u get spells? do u need a lot of money for spells?

spell castor = less stamina = less loots to carry, and i find that really annoying having to back track just to sell some crap i found

You can still put some points into stamina on a caster. I raised my base magicka up to 200, and with two +50 items that gives me 300. After that I raised my health to 150, and then I'm also raising my stamina a bit.

They removed the feather spell from earlier games to increase carrying capacity, which sucks for mages.

Favorite the weapon and spell. Go out of the item menu and press Q, assign hot key to items you want (1-8). This works decently, so you don't need to pause when you are going to change your weapon.
OK, but that's still a lot of pressing buttons compared to Oblivion. But I guess I'll manage using keys 1 - 8.

Flame and Firebolt is working throughout the game so far for me, plus any backup weapon for when my magicka runs out and frost spells for anything immune to fire (but I'm only taking fire damage perks, taking 2 or all 3 costs too many perk points).

The first mage you meet (Faralda or something) at the college of winterhold is the Destruction specialist, she sells loads of destruction spells, along with other specialists for each magic school. There are also a few traders around that sell spell tomes, and you can find them from random loot too.

Also I got my preorder bonus map framed

Yes. The very first minute that I opened up my Skyrim case and pulled out the map, I thought 'This has got to be framed!'. So I measured it and ordered a frame

    Ah k. My mistake.

I'm running without DOF on in the SkyrimPrefs.ini, with the low saturation setup of the FXAA injector. I actually like the sharpness that the FXAA injector uses as it is far superior to that other sharpness mod that is out there that people seem to love. With the screenshots above of mine, putting them in Photoshop and applying smart sharpen does nothing compared to what it used to be like without the mod. Very happy, and cheers for the FXAA injector information. :-)

Good company in this thread. I've been finding lots of little bugs but nothing that stops me from playing, I play about 3 hours a day which is ridiculous for me. The thing with TES games is the time between bugs and crashes is my gaming nirvana, heck all of Bethesda spun RPGs.

Arena is in deep dosbox unfortunately.

Skyrim at first made my jaw drop at how console the graphics where, then how primitive previous TES games were in comparison, but as time goes on and I spent some time back in those games it makes you relish how well Bethesda makes a living world. All other RPGs are like hanging around an old movie set corridors in comparison.
