Yes, I know that. But I think some early retail 980Xs were worse than the ones released close to when 990X was released. I have never owned 980X, but just read from the forums that some needed a little more juice, some even over 1.4 for 4.2 GHz. About one fact you are incorrect, I have proven my 4.5 stability in the 4.5 GHz thread, but with HT off only if that counts, since my temps were already over 80 C. http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...=1#post4798854

And a side note, I really didn't mean to offend you, what would the point be in that? We all are here to help each other from what I understand. It isn't all about anyone's skills if we have better or worse processors at hand, it's pure luck. I wish you good luck with the 980X you have.

And now that we're talking, I just got my brand new R3E Black Edition since my R3E has been in RMA for a month now. So I might have to give 4.5 run HT on later on just for you if everything goes allright, and see if I can get that stability proven.
