    @Utnorris...

    I felt guilty....

If I took everything out of the CL, I could fit the TJ inside the CL, not going to happen! The MM is basically the same height, but obviously not as wide or as structurally sound.

The CL is in a class by itself.

Thank you. Man that's a big case, although not as big as my Ascension case, but still big and they make great use of the space. Thanks again.

    You are most welcome!

A few things arrived today and think I have all of the fittings that I will need. I also received some fan extension cables, 20' of clear LRT tubing, 4 Aqua temp sensors ( 8 in total) and 2 more Aqua flow meters....I tried to find Aqua inline filters for complete overkill, but no luck.....

Only 3 more shipments to go! Hopefully I will be leak testing by Sunday!

    Cheers

    Thank you!

The EK 250 arrived, so I got out a spare piece of red acrylic and slapped it in.
Sorry for the bad pics, the lighting was terrible and it was scotch time!

Then after a scotch....wait a minute, lets get creative...

Hang it from the top! I like it, but it opens a whole new can of worms....
If I mount from the top, I would go one of two ways; the 400 res from the top and the 250's mounted together on the backplate, or the 250's from the top and the 400 mounted in between on the backplate?

Sorry, there are a number of options. LMK what you think.
I have to go work on my tank now to distract me from this build.

    Thanks for looking in.

    Cheers

    Thank you!

Everything is stripped down and ready for the tubing tomorrow and hopefully the leak test. I just have to decide on the res locations.....

I am not liking this one.

    This has potential.

With some rotary madness, it could get interesting.

I have pretty much ruled out the bottom mount. The top mount looks better to me, especially with the rotary mount. It drops the res just enough and adds much more support over the D-plugs. Additionally, I like the red acrylic plate left untouched.

    Any thoughts?

Whoa ... I've got some catching up to do. Spotty internet and travel have made it difficult to keep up with worklogs, but I'll be coming back to this one as soon as I can. Looking interesting so far!

Thanks and I was wondering where you were.

This is what I have decided upon.

why dont you mount the res horizontally above the mobo?

or, why dont you mount them onto the top panel? horizontally again?

I played with that idea, but it just did not look that good.

I honestly think you should buy a replacement tube for either the long one, or buy who longer tubes. Have them all the same length, use the same anti-cylon insert, and have them all side-by-side. It would be even more awesome if you were using three different colour dyes in each loop.

I will be using three different dyes, red, white and black. The thought of using the same size reservoirs occured to me, then I looked at how much money I have spent to date.

$16 for a single 140mm tube + about $11 for three anti-cyclone inserts that are the same @ PPC's. I honestly think it would be worth it. Different size reservoirs will always look a bit out of place in my opinion.

Theseeker: Looks great mate and I forgot to tell you in the PM.
I would definitely mount all hardware and not stuff around with powersupply cabling until the other fiddly mounting/tubing and cabling is done. As long as you have done a basic PSU wiring test prior to mounting everything else just best to keep that jungle out of the way till you do your first power-on test. Use a PSU externally with the bitspower powerboard to test everything. Looking forward to the detailed build log.

Also any chance of you taking a dremel to your beautiful MB tray to make another cable route? The routes you have look are a little too long to me and would be better on a more direct route.
Unfortunately the board is a little too short to use the cable routes for the SR2 that the MB tray is designed for.

See below for an idea. You could also do an ATX power cutout below it to make it really clean.
You could also possibly mount the res tubes stacked from centre of the case to the outside panel in a straight line instead of front to back? Might have to get inventive with mounting (move the white horizontal mounting plate back?) but you have more space in the width at this stage than you do in the depth. It already looks crowded in there with the drive cage and front panel stuff mounted with the three res side by side front to back. I also think you should just get 1 shorter res so they all match and sell the other long one!

I received the new res's today, so now I have 3 EK 400's! IMO it looks much better.

I also received more fittings and something special in the middle res, look closely.....

I did a close check and I have 22 fittings in the pedestal and additional 18 in the main case for a total of 40! However, no 90's!

Much more tomorrow, especially if my shipment arrives from Shoggy!

    Cheers

I am in the process of putting everything together and I would like some opinions regarding the fitting colors.

    Red....

Black compressions, which I don't care for...

    True silver.....

    Black barbs....

    The lineup....

The tubing will be clear and I will be using red dye. LMK what you think....

I'd go for silver and/or red ones.

    Thanks for the input.

I should clarify that the CPU and the Ram block would be the only fittings that would be red. Everything else will be black compression or barbs. I will hide a few silver fittings where possible.

I really like your case selection for the build with so much space and room for expansion, which leads to my next question....

Other than for external heat / cooling purposes, was the add-on box really required or am I mixing 2 different builds together? It seemed like with such a big case it could all fit inside the case? Hence the reason for such a large case.

Also, I was curious how much you thought that beast was going to weigh once you get it completed? Hurts my back looking at it!!!!!!!

I guess it's true everything is bigger in Texas.

Glad to see the progress is moving pretty quick on this build

For this setup I would do black barbs so it all matched. On a side note, if all three reservoirs are 400ml, why does one look shorter than the other two?

    Thank you!

The pedestal was not necessary, but this is XTreme. You could easily build the same system without the pedestal. With regard to weight; I am guessing somewhere between 70-80 lbs with a full compliment of H20.

I will make the final decision on the fittings at the last minute, but thanks for your input.

One res is mounted to the MB tray and the other two are somewhat suspended.
