You say in the first post "more on that later" referring to the frosted CCFL behind the bottom piece of perspex but you never spoke on it, other than to show beautiful photos. Can we get some close ups of the inner workings or could you give a brief overview of what thickness perspex, color, translucence, whether or not you sanded it, and how far the CCFLs are underneath it, and what size and how many are the CCFLs?

    Farmerbrown, beautiful V600.

...also thanks for making me further regret not getting 2 when I had the chance when I thought about doing what Jedda did to his V1000's.

    Hi

Sorry about that I should of explained more behind how I went about the build this coming weekend I will be taking the rig apart to change the CPU waterblock as I just got a new ek HF full nickel block to go with my other nickel waterblock, might wait tell I get ether another gpu or waterblock for the motherboard itself as I am having trouble overclocking this rig for some reason need more voltage which as you know will produce more heat, looking also to change the rad for something a bit thicker so i.e. more heat I can get rid of.

Well I can tell you that the Perspex is 5mm cast frosted Perspex, the reason for this is because of the grill which has been cut in the Perspex by the laser cutter, because in the past I have tried doing the same with normal Perspex but this resulted in the Perspex bonding together because of the heat that is produced when cutting. Cast Perspex costs more but the material properties are much better.

I have a total of four CCFF in the rig, two 4inch and two 12 inch, the two four inch once are positioned at the top of the rig and the two 12 inch under the Perspex. the Perspex is 25mm high (Thickness of the fans) the fans I used where clear so that all the light from the CCFF would be seen, I had used normal no clear fans there would have been a dark outline of the fans as no light would be in that area because of the fans.

I will take more photos in the coming week with a better explanation of how the rig has been put together.

Other than this I trust that you like me rig, I am looking to sell this off and build another one again

Wanting to start building and selling rigs like this for a living

    HI

Thanks for the feedback was beginning to think people don’t like my rig.

Ya took some time but really am pleased with the results.

I have been looking for this case for over three years and was luck and for someone on eBay (God bless eBay) selling 4 of them brand new in the box was going to buy two but when i asked he had sold 3 and I got the last One.

The one thing i love about this case is that it has four 5 1/4 inch bays which is always a plus.

As I said above I am going to be doing an update and will give a more in depth looking into how the rig has been build.

It looks good, except I wouldn't put the pump right above the PSU. I would be worried that if anything happened with the pump top, like say it cracked or something, that it would leak into the PSU and have a great potential to kill it. Otherwise nice build.

+1 ^ ive always thought putting a res or pump over the psu was mad!

even if it doesnt leak there, a leak anywhere can run down the outside of tubes and straight in...

    More Photos

    Hello

Took some more photos of the rig at night so that the CCFL lights can be seen

I will be some time in the furture adding somethings to the rig, or might sell it and build another rig (At the moment second option seems better )

    Well hope you like

Nice tidy lil build you have there.

Not usually a fan of the coils on the tubes but it doesn't look to bad here.

    Good job.

WOW amazing build, A+ work. I'm looking to build a small PC for me to take overseas, gonna go with the Lian Li V600FB. I was just curious what is that panel you have covering the 5.25" bay area and part of your radiator?

Well Boys and Girls been working on the fitting of the new Waterblock Tops.

When it came to fitting the waterblock to the Rampage Gene III I had to mod the Motherboard yes that’s right kids the motherboard which was one of the most palm sweating things I have ever had to do.

The reason for the Motherboard modding was because of the new rev of the board one of the capacitor (Will Post Image At Some Point) on the board has move so this resulted in me having to mod the holes on the board so that they line up with the waterblock, so out came the drills and files

This took me a good 2 hours to do but in the end got all the holes to line up

Then fitted the waterblock with its new White Top on the board

Then came the moment of truth the power up.....ready....steady....go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And I can confirm that the motherboard works

So now I breathe for the first time in like 2 hours.

OK now that that’s all done I will be reassembly the case again, might be fitting a new rad if it fits in the case

SO tune in next time kids

    Lightbulb Need Some HELP!!!!

Ok so guys and girls I need your help

The front panel of the case I am going to change, I am going to fit a Aquaero and a Aquatube and also some switches.

In the images below you will see three different types of the front panel, the first is of just the Aquaero, Aquatube & the switches, the second is the same plus some Temperature LCD displace which would display watertemps in and out of the rad, and the last is the same again but with the tube off centre.

So I am not quite sure which one of the three I should go for so am looking to you guess for some help

So let me know which one please

The red square in the last image will give you a better understanding as to where the plate is going to be used.
