So I started playing around overclocking today.
1207 bios
i7 970
Corsair 8-9-8-24 6gb kit
Everything was set to xmp profile/default/auto.
Did a simple switch to 21•200 and system seems completely stable. Running longer prime 95 now.
One question I has was for real world day to day usage, is going any higher net me any significant gains?
I eventually want to see how high I can push this but it's also my mission critical work comp. So I can only really play with it in the weekends.

i've been trying endlessly to get 2000mhz stable just to have higher uncore and that's been more than just a pain.

. I do that so it's easy for people to see without having to open another tab or window and zooming in to see the details. I honestly don't like posting thumbnails. I'll resize my screenshots and make them a bit smaller.

at this point when it comes to you.
