Thanks again everyone.

Downloaded CPU-Z 1.562 and it shows the speed @ 1.6ghz but when launching IE it changed to 4.5ghz briefly, so I guess that works. I then disabled Speed step in the bios and CPU-Z continues to report 1.6ghz and it jumps to 4.5 ghz when the PC is used.
Also, system properties with my Q6600 would show my CPU @ the overclocked speed of 3.6ghz...with this 2600K it does not.



Is there a way to have the PC run @ 4.5ghz 24/7?
My temperatures idle right now are 28 - 30 using an Ultra Extreme 120 single fan with the bolt thru KIT REV B.

Like this? Your Speed step is still on. The books says it has to be on but I turned it to off and works fine. Turning off under Advanced Options/Cpu Configuration worked for me.
