I should have been more clear. I'm used to the SFLEX E as I've owned them for years. I'm looking for comparisons relating to pressure, noise, and "cool/bling" factor.

Good to hear. More air, lower noise...non, non!

In what way are the 13 and 14 GTs a closer comparison to the SFLEX E? Air? Pressure? I hope not noise.

With the same or lower noise floor?

I would need to do a side by side comparison to be sure on noise. I remember the SFlex E fans being acceptable to me where the G speed ones were VERY loud as intakes but ok as exhausts.

I did a study. It included S-Flexes -E's, -F's and -G's. It included GT's AP-13, AP-14's and AP-15's. Go and look, but I'll just say that since then I have bought more GT's. I use them for case fans. I use them for heatsinks. I use two AP-14's on my D14, for example.

Do check in at Koolertek now and then. They are negotiating to get PWM-controlled 2150rpm GT's. Those will allow us to have GT's controlled by our PWM-only motherboards.

Where did you come across this data?
I wouldn't mine checking if he looked at these fans on my MCR_Drive rev.2
If the Delta_T is the same or less for my rad, then I'm not going to waste any-more time waiting around for AP-15's.
Though they are schedule to be with a few Aussie retailers within the week, so it's not that long to wait I guess.

Are you for real? This would be a solution for my GT rad fan fantasy. Nice if they are PWM, but I'd just like to have a fan that can hit 2000 now and again.

On Nidec's spec sheet they rate the non pwm 2150rpm down to 5v, the AP-15 is rated to 7. It should undervolt even better.

    +1

I'd be happy with plain old 2150's, the new 3K's are gonna be overkill for any of my needs but I'll give them a try.

    I wish they'd get hold of a few Nidec's PWM 5400RPM's too.
But 2150 is prolly more of a sweet-spot...

Scythe copped-out on all of us & went the cheaper non-PWM route

Yup. I'd love to have three of the 5400rpm fans on my d14, controlled by pwm, spinning up only when they have to . . .

    Ah, pipe dreams.

I understand Spanish, and I must say I like that review. The reviewer sounds pretty honest and crystal clear about the performance of the Gentle Typhoon.

I bought four from Linke Computer. I really hope I don't get scammed.

I want to buy two Noiseblocker MF12-P after reading the russian review. I shouldn't be spending money on this, but I really want to start testing fans, and find out by myself really what's good or not to me. In fact, I'm going to buy them, and also two Nexus Real Silent. I'm going to try them all as case and also as heatsink fans.

I'm going to end up money empty if the PowerColor PCS+ 6970 doesn't get released soon...

I bought my NH-D14 from Linke. It shipped from a warehouse in Vancouver, came to me in the US. If they had something I wanted at a price I liked I would buy from them again.

I mainly liked it because of the international shipping fee (I live in Colombia). Almost as the free fee from DealExtreme

Don't say that, it will happen, one day!!!

I haven't got patience so I'll order 1x 5400 pwm from Japan soon.
Just to play with it, if I'm happy I'll order 2x more.

My MB may not be able to lower it to 1000RPM...
So I may have to get a discrete controller before I can get much use from it.

    Thanks buddy,
Not an issue now as I have finally found a freaking retailer that has AP-15's in-stock!

    I really hope I don't too, as I just placed an order w/them for 4x AP-15's & 1x AP-14
I've ordered from them before, but their stock indicator was wrong, so they refunded me.
I'll be pissed if that happens again!

Is there any advantage to using a P+P config. on a 240mm rad w/4x AP-15's?
And is it better that I mount them with shrouds?

If there's no dramatic improvement over 2x AP-15's...
Then I'll probably use the other two AP-15's as case fans (under-volt slightly).

I'll probably end-up buying a few more AP-14's/15's later, but that'll do for now.
I haven't narrowed-down the case yet, it might have some decent stock fans.

I've never water cooled. 2C less seems silly for P+P. At least that's what I've seen w/ 1200~1500 RPM fans.

Hopefully someone who knows what they're doing will come along to help you out.

frozencpu has the high speed GT's in stock, along with some ap-14's

they had 30 or so ap-15's last night, I was going to swing by at lunch and grab a few, but someone beat me to it

    Odd...
The msg I got from them a few days ago was only that the ap-15 were "oderable", not "in stock":

We are alerting you that the following product is now orderable at FrozenCPU.com.
This means that you can place your order now online and stock will be available soon.

And it said this on their site when I went to check out with some earlier today:

ATTENTION!! You have ordered some items that are not available for immediate shipment today.
These items are shown below and will be available soon (within 1-18 business days).

push/pull can definitely drop your temps 1-2c, I've done my own testing way back at a few different fan speeds with high speed panaflo's and consistantly saw between 1-2c improvements with both fans going

someone posted a detailed fan comparison for air cooling, and showed AP-14's in push/pull generating the same temps as a single AP-15, but at a 2-3 db lower noise level, I wouldn't think the differences in flow restriction between a rad or a high end heatsink would be drastically different, so push/pull could also be a good way of dropping your noise levels if your looking for silence

they showed in stock yesterday, and are back to orderable today, wouldn't surprise me if they sold out that quick given how hard they are to find these days

I knew I should have just gone over there last night
