Yes, because we all know that .1v ramvolt incriments and bad compatibility with various types of ram are lack of skill.
I don't think I was able to hit 1880 6-6-6 or 3102 CPU_NB on a 965BE with "lack" of skill...I was just saying that that Gigabyte Rev 1 boards as well as their DDR2 boards (I've owned both) are "lack"ing in some places. I never said it was bad... but what's in my avatar at left is impossible on a Gigabyte Rev 1 800 series or 790 series board.
But those boards do have a wall of ~1780-1800 for stability and as soon as you apply anything higher than 1879 the board will flip out.
Most Deneb CPU's will need at the very least 1.45v for 4Ghz, 1.50+ for 4.1, and 1.55+ for 4.2. This is usually common knowledge.
I'm glad that trt740 has a golden CPU, but that doesn't really reflect on how much "skill" or "lack of skill" a user has. For example, my 965 does 3.7 at stock VID (1.4v) while my 565BE sample does 3.8 @ it's stock VID of 1.325v. The 965BE needs 1.56v for 4 Ghz, and the 565BE does 4 Ghz @ 1.425v. As you can see, there is a huge range there in the middle where most CPU's fall. My 565BE would be considered a pretty good CPU.
