trt740, long time no see(I was a TPU member for quite some time/many times lol) you should be use to this kind of thing after having spent time on TPU, some people blame boards for their....lack of skill
My ram dosnt clock well on this board(790xt-ud4p) but its not known for clocking well on any amd system from what i have read, its adata stuff, 1600 9-9-9 rated, but, i can get 1670 out of it with 4 sticks with my 1055t (3.5gz, turbo enabled=4.1, and seems to actually boost ALL CORES to 4.1)
im using the latest bios from gigabyte.com F8G, works great for me, and has also given me and a few others i recommended this board to a nice boost on their older chips(435's, 555's, 955's and such) everybody found that they could clock both cpu and ram a bit better with the bios that have come out with "x6 support"
