I owned the DDR2 variant of this board and it was good. DDR2 board limit at 1233 but it was good.
My 890GX board sucked at clocking ram though and I'm sure these boards do to. All of those boards had an 1880 limit...extended a little with Thuban. But it didn't change the fact that Gigabyte had to redesign the board to get compatibility right.
...and doing the impossible? Your CPU is fabulous, you got extremely lucky. I'd say no more than 1 out of 100 CPU's would do that. Congrats.
