oh yeah sure they did, I really like to work on my 570, man the uber performance i get, low power, for that low price is amazing.... i love to play on these 570 cards, I just bought 3 of them for so much SLI power..... they are all over the place to buy, massive stock.....

same for my 580 rig, had to buy 3 of them for massive SLI, only problem in EU is that you never find 3 of the same part at the same time, so i just bought a MSI-PNY-ASUS one from each.... looks really cool in my rig....
that was off course to replace my 4 way SLI 460 all EVGA FTW version the only one which is able to look decent against the new 6870 that off course replaced my 3 way sli 480 which i used only to heat my house.

    a good link for you:

I really don't know where you guy's get the energy to argue so much before anything is even officially released.

I'm almost kind of jealous to be totally honest.

Every year we get less and less information.

By now we should have official specs, over the top specs that everyone and their mother wants to believe, official photos and a leaked pdf.

    What gives?

AMD's gotten better at keeping things secret.

People forget that Eyefinity surprised many people - Nvidia included

The reason is simply because they haven't distributed any/many samples yet. See its never an AMD employee who leaks the info, when the information is with 1000 different Reviewers around the globe, some1 with a week stomach leaks that info for website hits or just some attention but sadly that is not the case this time around.

Now the debate can be whether its something deliberate or whether even AMD is in a fix.

Yep indeed.AMD just can't make the decision on the branding and colors on the boxes, they are in big dilemma! Also a huge problem is a new logo design, last I heard they had 3 parallel "design" teams working on it 24/7 to meet the December deadline, but chances are slim they will make it

They've actually had the architecture presentations already - the main thing is that the final specs were all labeled TBA and so any specs floating around were probably either fake ones and/or decoys sent to AIBs

Eh, the cards were delayed (one delay, not delays) to the 13th. Why are you so ansty? Exact same thing in terms of info for the past two releases.

the 6950 use the same core with 2 SIMD disabled, If something is wrong with the 6970, the same problem is with the 6950.

Following your logic, GTX480 with 480 cores should never have existed

So you suggest AMD face same problem of Nvidia ?and they will need to disable 2SIMD and release cut off "fermi version" .... lol

if it was the case so the 6950 will have 4SIMD disabled so ....

If the full Cayman have some problem, his little brother using the same core, will face the same problem .. if AMD need to redesign the 6970, they redesign at same time the 6950...
you can't separe the downgraded version of the 6970 ... as you can't separate the GTX470 of the 480 ( who is just a 480 with 1 SIMD disabled ( with memory controller downgraded too )

    Exactly.. Thats my point?
Both GTX470 and GTX480 DID launch, nevertheless the problems Fermi suffered. So tell me why cant AMD launch HD6950 while HD6970 has problems?

EDIT - Im not claiming that Cayman has issues. Im just pointing at your flawed logic.

the 6970 issue is that its to fast.
AMD couldnt handle the speed it run the games faster than you could see.
the 10.12 cataclysm driver is HUGE, breaking the 1gig limit.

It all points to the same conclusion, people have to high expectations to have information about stuff before they are out.

The above is your reply to Hd 6950 FAKE slide. I wonder what other evidence you have to confirm your statement that "amd screwed up 6970" and maybe you can share it with us.

Since this is AMD thread you should not be surprised that some people see such post as a troll specially without any evidence or at least a rumor that AMD did screw up something.

This time you did tone down a bit, but still the same arguments. How do you know what cards are the reviewers getting? How about delays? I recall only one three weeks delay and it was not on HD 6970 only.

The reviewers usually get the cards about five days before the NDA ends. The GTX 570 is supposed to be released December 7 which means all the reviewers should have the card now and I don't see any info coming from the reviewers the same was before the GTX 580 release so what is so unusual about the luck of info from the reviewers on the HD 69** cards?

You were close as to why it was delayed, it's actually because the card was so fast that it created micro-black holes that in small amounts showed no harm till they tested in massive groups that created one large black hole and sucked up all the 6900's meaning they had to make some more, tone down the speeds a bit, and re-test the newer batches.
