With decent AA and 16AF, a gtx 580 is faster than a 5970 which is atleast 30-50% faster than a 5870.
in that very same link for hardware canucks, 8xAA shows better framerates on the 5970, by the biggest margin. the computerbase link isnt ever working for me, so i dont know whats on there.
