iirc focusing our eyes is harmful if we do it a lot, and depending on how well the 3d illusion works, our eyes might actually notice its an illusion and refocus over and over, plus focusing on different depths that dont actually exist...

so its not just flickering...

whats there to wonder? a 580 is around 30% faster than a 5870...

depends what settings though, with 4x AA and 16AF and high resolution. It grows wider.

With decent AA and 16AF, a gtx 580 can be faster than a 5970 which is atleast 30-50% faster than a 5870.

If the original rumors are true and that 30% is compared to the 6870, then you add another 7% to that figure.
