Radeon HD 6850, 6870 prices climb skyward

Not their fault or even AIBs fault that retailers are upping prices... very slight increases at that.

Edit- Comparing Barts to GF104 is ridiculous.
How about comparing it to GTX580... suppose to be $499 and they are at $559-$579.

It's about the same percentage extra that most places are gouging for 6870.

Typical fanboy logic. GF104 is Barts direct competitor. What better to compare it to?

Really? I was at Microcenter yesterday and they had a bunch of 6870's in stock. After talking with a couple of the employees who I know, they told me that the sales of 6870's has slowed to a crawl since they received a pallet of EVGA GTX 580's the other day. All of which are completely sold out.

I find it hard to believe that a $500 card is cutting into the sales of $180 and $240 cards.
