Why do you over exaggerate/blow things waaaay out of proportion all the time, are you a drama major. Technology will continue to move forwards as it always has, the efforts involved in delivering the next jump in performance is irrelevant to the consumer that buys a product at a certain price point & level of performance which is usually done relative to the competition and what the market will bear. If products at the same price point are competitive with each other does it really matter how that performance is derived.
Do you think its ok that newer stepping cpu's of the same uarch last years with new clock speed bins and minor tweaks.
A majority of tech we see today is recycled over and over and tweaked and tweaked over a period of time. Is the current AMD uarch not simply scaled up and tweaked from what the 3870, are the current cards such a drastic departure from its ancestors.
