There are some very knowledgeable people on the storage forum so I'm hoping they can give some input at some stage.
hIOmonn has showed me that I am well out my depth, but I will try to work through it regardless, although I now realise I don't even understand the basics concepts of storage. This can be summarised well in my query below.
If I look at the data transfer speeds per single IOP read I get 260MB/s.
Here I get a data transfer speed for a single IOP write of 251MB/s.
Here is a summary of the top ten processes
How could I be getting a those speeds for a single IOP?
I don't understand the relationship between the single IOP MB/s speeds and the speeds below, which I assume are sequential speeds?
Today I am using the Presentation Client to monitor my normal use and I'll post a screen shot of that later.
