    Thank you for the input. However, I did that a long time ago I even had posted howto do it the ATI forum of this board. I see that build 2149 might fix the problem, I will check it out after I finish playing with my new board. as always i will report back.

    Well the system does not lock up anymore but now I'm having problems with builds 2149-2169 causing mouse slow downs and audio sound glitching. If I go back to a build that does not monitor the ATI 5970 everything works fine, and yes ULPS is disabled in the registry.

    EDIT: I've also done a clean install to windows 7 x64 and the problem still happens.
