Barts XT should be able to reach the same TFLOPS as Cypress XT, after all the new 1280 SPs are some 98.5 % as fast as old 1600 SPs. So, if Barts XT IS a 1280 SP part with new 4D configuration.. It would need some 863 MHz core clock to match HD 5870. It would take ~940 MHz for Cypress XT to hit 3 TFLOPS, and 952 MHz for Barts XT. So, IF Barts is going to hit 3 TFLOPS, it HAS to be at least 952 MHz part. Of course, assuming that the efficiency of the new 4D system is 98.5 % compared to old 4+1D system.
Cayman.. 1920 SPs is equivalent to 2400 "old" SPs. 4 TFLOPS at 850 MHz.
Considering the fact that the real world gaming performance doesn't scale linearly with TFLOPS, the gains aren't as great.
