and btw when you update your drivers its because you need it to ... for smoother performance in games and application that you use .. and the readme's from ati or nvidia usually provide the change log in them so you can clearly see if you need to apply those drivers or not ... and i do it like that ..and no problem relating to drivers ....
I wasn't looking for advice, haven't had any install issues since the 9 series drivers. I've been installing the same way I always have yet somebody somewhere fixed something since I haven't changed and it hasn't been an issue for me with the 10 series drivers, just magic I guess.

I forgot to mention the latest issue I'm experiencing is with Mafia2 now that I'm thinking about it, after exiting the game the desktop is dimmed way down. Simple work around is cntr+alt+dlt then esc to resolve the dimming until a patch is out for the game itself or video card driver release to fix it.

Of course by elitist logic user error certainly played a roll and that the game and drivers are perfect.
