I run an 860 at stock speeds undervolted to 1.01V while running BOINC. CPU temps are 60C crunching with a corsair H50 with a SFLEX D fan (800RPM). Running at stock voltage of 1.1375 increased CPU temps by 10C. Been going for 2 weeks straight now.

8GB DIMMs? Do you mean 8GB total? or 16GB total? If it is 8GB total, then yes you can run 2x4GB dimms. The board does not support 16GB (2x8GB). I have 2x4GB (OCZ Gold 2x4GB 1333mhz) and I think it is more than enough for my system. I run win server 2008 R2 with 8 threads of HFCC for WCG, steam, skype, and firefox open at all times and I am using about 2.5GB of memory.
