ATI cannot make working video drivers

Maybe it's more acurate to say "ATI cannot make compatible video drivers"

I have a system with a reference hd5850 and windows 7pro 64bit and video drivers have been a headache at best.

For all the ones chiming in to say "you people are crazy, it works fine for me", that would only apply if everyone else were running the exact same hardware and software as you.
The bazillion people who say ATI drivers are pitiful, should give you a clue toward the truth.
