Hi guys, I'm trying to unlock a sempron 140, but when I turn on UCC, nothing happens, no errors, no nothing. On my old mobos with SB750 when a core is defective or absent it won't load Windows. Does this motherboard support unlocking semprons?
AMD 1055T | Noctua NH-D14 | Asrock 890gx Extreme3 | 2x2 GB A-Data 2000 | Asus 5770 | PcP&C 700W
Yep it does via UCC... works fine here with my 555BE , unlocks happily to 4cores... sadly my sempron 140 doesn't unlock on any of my boards... always some luck involved

@Leeghoofd What happens when unlocking fails? Some message, blue screen, beep sounds, anything. Which BIOS do you use, what is the batch of your sempron?

I don't have the CPU anymore, but we tried to unlock it on 2 gigabyte boards, one MSI GD70 and finally on the ASrock.. no go... the ASrock just booted here but still with one core... the older gigabyte got into a safe boot loop...

1.4250 set in the OC tuner = 1.3520 idle, load 1.3920.
I use 1.4750 set in the OC tuner = 1.400 idle, load 1.440 its high, but its the only setting that is 24/7 stable for me.
This is on the none beta bios btw, which honestly looks like it didn't change at all
Heh I guess thats cool, especially if you're using push pull...

Asrock makes good quality products based on my experience on a sis chipset Socket A model and on a nforce3 250 agp am2 mobo.nice buy you ve got there.
^ yes they do. good quality affordable price.
finally got my ht ref to 285. I have upgraded my ram from team elite ddr3 1333 cl9 to g skill ripjaw cl7 and updated my bios to 2.4. Now im wondering if it is the bios or the ram thats keeping me going past 260 before.
I can't go above 286 MHz, I lower every other clock and rise voltages. Could it really be the memory that stops me, I set it around 1000 9-9... just to be sure but no post. BIOS 2.41E

What is going on guys, everybody was talking how good is this Asrock, how it can reach 400 MHz HTT... NOw when somebody has a problem, nobody van say anithing. I tested my CPU, my RAM and everything else on my frend's computer and it works and OC great. This motherboard is no good for extreme OC, I know it's cheap but don't lie about OC with it.

I must say since the newer biosses I lost a lot of OC potential. I stopped dealing with the ASrock bios department. Is like talking to a brick wall...
small example : I could do 1800mhz C6 easily on 1.51beta bios, flashed a newer beta for test. Told them I lost 1800mhz C6 with 4gb : reply from ASrock : it works fine here at 1800mhz C9. Reply from me : that ain't exactly 1800C6 and it's only 2gb. I said 1800C7 works, C6 won't even boot. Reply : we can't reproduce it in our HQ as we don't have the same rams as you... sigh...
It's a good board, but the bios department needs a whoop a s s

So, you are saying that they did switch do d*ckhead mode ?![]()
It is not a good board, just see at what Mecho_gruh says.Any motherboard, and I do mean ANY mb is a junk if used with a junky BIOS
This one does not even feature LLC, I refuse to buy it.
