I took off the top little cap but it seems as if the wires are being held down/clamped by those little metal things.
Hi.
Just started to sleeve my hx1000 with some lovely mdpc sleevingI have a quick question though. There is 3 cables with 2 wires into 1 pin, a yellow (+12v), a red (+5v) and a orange (+3.3v) Now im using a chart to go by but it doesnt show any cable with doubled up wires. Aslong as they go in the correct place its fine yeh? Just wanna make sure before i get stuck in
Thanks.
EDIT: After some searching around it seems the 3 wires are sense wires and need to go back in exactly the same slot they came from. Spent last hour or so in google looking but cant find anything. Im f****d unless some body knows lol.

I will think about that, I thought it was the easy way to sleeve the PSU like Xien16 did on his Lian Li A05N ( I have this case too but with Caseking Noisedampening) But i prefer not to be a "copy" of a MDPC build.
I saw the picture of Xien16 from Hardwareluxx( I'm a Spy there, reading but not posting because I need google translate to understand german :P) with Purple-Grand Blue and it was pretty. I'm nearly sure that I will mix Grand Blue with purple even if my MB has some Light Blue more similar to aquamarine, but anyway I think it doesn't matter so much mmm at the end all is blue so it may fit very well.
Did black and greenfor my other build :P

How do I sleeve a pin that has 2 wires adjoined?

Is orange sleeve UV reactive ?
Sleeves that specifically say (UV Reactive) are UV.
Does anyone have a picture of red, black and grey sleeve together??
With help, I will eventually build a PC. Hopefully.
So, my sleeving got here:
Awesome little cartoon, notice how I am dressed in Amurikan Yankee clothes(BTW Nils, thanks for taking the time =)
The gorgeous sleeving and a personalized tool!
Comparison to the purple you find around the web. My colors aren't even close to accurate as Xien16's--but this should at least give you some contrast.
Ok, I am here to say THANK YOU MDPC!!! I took a plunge and ordered the official MDPC tool, and I had my reserves, but they are gone! This thing is so amazing I had to share it with you all. If you don't have one you need to get it, as it is by far the best tool I have ever used--and I have used oh so many =(
There is no fighting your tool to get the pins out--the beveled edges allow the tool to slip in easily, and then all you need to do is softly pull to get the plugs out.
Here is the tool I was using before (and had gotten me through four Corsair PSUs). It was incredibly durable and a good friend--but it is utter crap compared to the MDPC tool. I can say with confidence it was worth the 20 dollars and then some.
Sleeving is actually fun with the MDPC tool.![]()

Does anyone know a good way to sleeve a molexcable like the one in the red rectangle in the pic attached?
The problem is that you can't put the shrink over the pin and i don't think you'll be able to fit two heatshrunk wires into the plastic housing.
How can i do this properly without pieces of bare wire showing?

Well, I would suggest checking out FrozenCPU or Performance PC's and purchase some extra molex connectors which allow the heatshrink to put through the small square opens. That's just one way of doing it

So you mean those molex connectors have mor space than the standard one and can take up 2x wire with heatshrink?
If i understand right you're discribing a way to get the sleeve over the pins, right?
Although i appreciate your answer that was not what i was asking.
I'm looking for a way to put the heatshrink on without a bare piece of the wire showing close to the molex connector.
I don't think it is possible to shrink the heatshrink tight against the pin (can't shrink over the pin due to the 2 wires) on both wires and get the pin back in the plastic molex housing but i must say i haven't tried yet. The whole package is just to thick to fit back in me thinks.

easy answer, cut the pre made sleeving + heatshrink and sleeve every single cable.. looks 100x sexier and 100x neater![]()
Another thing I find funny is AMD/Intel would snipe any of our Moms on a grocery run if it meant good quarterly results, and you are forever whining about what feser did?
I think my question is still unclear.
I'd like to know a good way to sleeve those molex cables that have an in- and outgoing wire at some of the connectors. I want to sleeve each wire indiviually but i don't want any colored wire to show close to the connector.

Some of the wire goes into the connector, so if you have a little showing when you're done sleeving, it will be hidden by the connector when you re-insert the pin.
Yes but will the two wires with heatshrink around them fit into the connector still?

It will if you want it to.
It takes a little work to get the pin back in, but it does.
Black green combo is excellent stuff!
