You guys are too talented for me, but reading this thread did inspire me to finally see if I could do anything with Sketchup (I know this thread is about getting life like renders, but you gotta start somewhere). Wanted to say thanks to Mick for posting the Gentle Typhoon Fans, and to kinghong1970 for the MCR 320. I turned the 320 into a 420 (not very elegantly, but it works for what I need), and painted the GT fans red. So - here's the sketchup I did trying to model the lower compartment in the Black Pearl build I'm doing.

Thanks for the inspiration - you guys have shown what's possible. I hope you'll forgive my intrusion into your thread ... lurking mode back on ...

@ pbmax - are those Bitspower compression fittings for Sketchup available anywhere online yet? Nice job.

They are based off of Feser's compression fittings. They are not "perfect" copies but pretty close. I'll post the models soon...

Here's just one more render of them. The fittings are actually using a perfect mirror material with some fine bump maps to show the machining groves.

Also using this HDR for lighting:

Why not, how can i do it in Solidworks?

Was bored today, made some renders with my new system. But couldn't decide which one looks better; matte or shiny?

This is not a watercooling part, but its a render none the less!

Its a wooden carrying frame for a fruit crusher I worked on a while back, anybody like Cider? Ooharrr

This render only took approx 3 minutes to complete.

    Nice looking block there emir

I apparently forgot to add internal threads on the first render (oops)

*wonders if these would even work with cpu waterblocks...*

Sweet designs Emir and Metric. Metric, what exactly do you think those nozzle fittings could be used for? The GPU block? Because the CPU block already has a jetplate. Though it might add performance to the older blocks without jetplate.
