callen...I would gladly trade my rudimentary photography knowledge for your Godlike machining skills. In a split-second. I must warn you it would not be a fair trade.

Handheld I stay between f1.8 ~ f2.8 because I don't have a studio lighting setup and my living room is not that bright. f1.4 works in a pinch (like if I just finished something but it's 2am and I still want to upload something) but I try to avoid it because the result is not super sharp. The last few were shot at f2 and I liked how they turned out.

Ideally, when I have a tripod out it's f9 all the way. Wide aperture and OOF is a nice effect but this being a worklog I want to show you things dammit! And sometimes blurring 60% of the photo is not the best way to do that. Smaller aperture puts more of the photo in focus, which is great when you want a ton of appreciable detail in one shot.
