I never mentioned anything about zero or NaN.
I only mentioned that it was impossible to use "float" to any degree of efficiency. (impossible is kinda strong of a word, I'll just say "extremely difficult")
you says When the denominator goes to zero, the run-time (and memory) blows up to infinity - in other words, the algorithm fails.
