    7043MHz superpi -192°C 2.11v sub-6 secs hicookie

There's no word that can describe the awesomeness of this result. Wonder if the new UD7 is a part of the reason to this achievement.

I hope Gigabyte pays you well.

This thread is locked until one thing gets cleared up.

The timer resolution in Windows XP is 1/64th of a second, or 15.625 milliseconds. The last digit is either the floor or ceiling of the trailing digits. The times reported by SuperPi are all multiples of this minimum unit of time, which is why there are discrete steps in SuperPi as many of you have surely noticed. The smallest step after .000 is .015, followed by .016, followed by .031, etc. The largest step possible is .985, and the next smallest is .984.

Almost none of the loops in the time shown in this thread are multiples of 15.625, and certainly not the final value of 5.991. It would either have to be 5.985, or 6.000, without anything in between being possible due to this inherent constraint in Windows XP.

This thread will be reopened upon a suitable explanation for this being provided.

Actually, on second thought, it was a bit rash of me to have locked it, so I apologize for that. Reopened.

yes, a big mistake from you

first because his score turned out OK:

    http://www.youtube.com/user/hicookie.../0/cIlkJAigozA

But also because we live in the free world we can have different oponion and be open to say what we think.
If someone thought this bench was a fake, well then I think it is OK to say it.

sometimes you may explain how .944 match your calculations.

    .985 minus something is .944

Let me add this program is old and the score is not the same every time, specially when OC to the edge. As a PI specialist I may say the runs can be weird.
Glad you gave it a second thought

secret is 3.7G QPI LINK BIOS option (BCLK X 28)

higher QPI makes clarkdale faster ...

but other mobo BIOS only have 3.2G 4.8G 5.33G 5.8 6.4G for choosing

GIGA really did good job on P55

3.7G makes CPU easily to pull higher and more stable than 4.8G
