ahh so he is talking about the dual socket EVGA...huge board, pretty cheap really, like 550US.
I am talking about a DP (Dual-Processor) Classified along with 4 GTX-295s. It will be intended to be a HPC rendering PC purpose, you won't need SLI enabled.
Grunching since this thread is so long but here are some things I'd like to see:
-more hard drive slots!
-compatibility with the new EVGA dual socket Classified board, I think you need like 10 expansion slots or something ridiculous. Very few cases on the market that can fit it right now (without modification ofc).
Very sweet looking case with a great WC design. Really like the White with black interior. Throw on some white tubing and red sleeved wires...

Given we can make it house the new dual CPU monster board from EVGA I would simply have to get one ASAP..
It this design can be modified, can we make it fit 12 HD, the full with of the http://www.evga.com/forums/tm.aspx?&m=124528&mpage=1 and top and bottom mounted, quad size radiators above and below motherboard, plus a full size dual PSU setup?
If so.. can we please start rounding up people so we can get it custom built, maybe from the link above, or we have a list of that on this forum already that I missed?
The manufacturer from Australia linked on this thread here above looks to be able to do it, I belove we need some electrical peaces in addition, shall we get on with it/manufacture a limited run?

Wow, that's very nice. The only thing I don't like is the larger than 120mm fan in the front. IME those larger 200mm kind of fans that are available to us at a good price (Cooler Master, Antec) aren't that good. 120mm is the performance sweet spot for having a lot of competition and really nice fans available, so I really like 120mm sizing for any fan usage.
Also needs way more HD slots and compatibility with EVGA's new dual socket Classified coming out too, as that's the board/setup I might get this case and cooling for.
xigmatek also released a 200 mm fan if i recall correctly

My own main concern is the ability to fit quads above and below plus the deep type PSU that is nearly almost the case with 1500 w.
At the size it is now it wont handle that. It should be a easy fix that thou. I would pay dearly to get one built in steel if that is the only option of what can be done as long as I can rub it in with sandpaper or machine a bit then paint it glossy black, just like pictured, if it turns out that It wont come with the ready painted option like that from cutter.
I have never done such a order or mod before so, reading every post here with your experiences.
What do you say Mick, Would you be happy to charge us a royalty and let us get some cases built from your design?
I must say, the more pictures I see of it the more I like it...
Powder coated and a good gage steel would work nicely..

You may or may not have seen in my liquid cooling thread, that I am looking at increasing the height of my case design. There is a very good chance that I will be getting my design built in the not too distant future so I would like some input from you guys. The reason I want to increase the height is to accommodate the EVGA 4x SLI XL-ATX motherboard which requires 10 PCI slots. This would also make it possible to fit the new dual socket motherboard from EVGA. What I would like to know is how many of you are thinking of getting these motherboards and would you buy my case to put them in? If interest is faverable, I will modify my design and possibly produce some new renders with the dual socket motherboard installed.....![]()

I'm very interested in the new EVGA 4x SLI XL-ATX dual socket motherboard. And I like your case. If the case could be ready in time for the release of the motherboard (early April 2010?), I would buy one. Otherwise I'd be buying a Mountain Mods Extended Ascension. Either way, I will need to buy a case, and yours looks like a lot of fun and well thought out.
Have you got anyone lined up to make the cases?
I'd be happy to run the design past the builders in my area -- Lincoln Machine -- if it was OK with you.
I do have someone who is willing to produce my design, but it's still in its infancy. I don't think there is much chance that a product will be available before April. As I will have very little to do with the manufacturing process, I really can't say when it will be ready. What I do know is; these things take time. Designing something is one thing, actually constructing it is another......

Just want to get one version off the drawing board, before I start thinking about different variations, but it's definitely something to consider!

what ever you do plz make sure you can fit in a quad and two units of PSU and a quad rad. IF you have to remove the front bay or something else if one wants this done, thats fine, at least make that happen. This will do something in the market that no other case out there can do without a lot of modifications or just not possible at all.
As I've said before, I am reluctant to increase the size of my design any further. I'm only thinking about catering for these larger motherboards because there are very few cases that can accommodate them.
To fit a quad rad in the bottom would mean increasing the depth of the case considerably. I am definitely drawing the line at 700mm!
It is possible to fit two PSU's as it is. One in the top and one in the bottom, but you would only be able to fit triple rads. To fit two PSU's in the bottom would mean mounting them vertically, and this would mean increasing the height of the bottom chamber. This is something I'm not prepared to do because I need to keep the top and bottom chambers with equal dimensions. If the chambers were of different heights, you would not be able to swap the side panels should you wish to use the inverted motherboard configuration. This is the reason why I didn't want to increase the size of the top chamber to cater for 140mm rads.Of course, I could increase the size of both chambers, but this would mean that, with the addition of the two PCI slots, the height of the case would be about 700mm. I feel that this is just too big. The case would be 700x700mm! Compare this to say the TJ07 which is 560x560mm, and you can understand what I'm saying. You also need to think about the added cost in materials. Anyway, I still haven't decided if I'm going to add the two PCI slots. I may get some interest from those who want a case for these large boards, but then I may put put others off because the case is just too damn big!
EDIT: Just a thought. With a little clever cable management and relocating the HDD's to say the optical drive bays. You could mount two PSU's vertically at the front of the centre section. This would then enable you to have two quad rads, one in the top and one in the bottom.![]()

With 2 PSU option in mid section, It leaves me no room to fit 12 hd, even thou I might still have space for the dual water loops, but I am out of HD space.
The choice then becomes a extremely noisy case because of the 1 PSU that will not have enough power to run full OC and all HDs and all fermi generation one cards.
The only option I can think of here is the water cooled PSU that will be fully loaded, and a second air cooled and find a tiny PSU mid mounted somehow as you say for handling the overflow power needed to reach full OC stable OC potential of the motherboard/CPU/expected generations one fermi power consumption. I am still wondering if it will fit 12 HD and 2 loops in the first place in that mid section with the dual evga mobo, and that is before we throw a second PSU in that location.
Maybe its time for a render to visualize how all this could fit in? I am having problems seeing it.
On the note of material cost, materials itself don't cost much, compared to the reseller margin, marketing and shipping and handling.
In other words. Here is my two cents on how to handle this one. Get yourself a venture funder, a factory with a track record, and sell it yourself online or in partnership with the funder. There is logistics and case manufacturer that can do all that work for you all over Europe. Sweden comes to mind here as people with outstanding record of both handling and shipping and quality work for cheap prices. China is of course even cheaper but you have the shipping costs to the end customers to think of and delivery date of product.
You have the customers right here and you are yourself doing all the marketing in the world in this thread. Selling a huge number in many thousands of units of this case is not what I think you should aim for, make it relatively expensive but fit it to a market that needs the water cooling needs. This is what it looks like it is served to meet by its design. I think people are willing to pay what this case will cost. There are no other options out there that compare. Because I am seeing this case as a niche case, I would be less worried than you are of the case size itself. Net you will make the same money if you just give the case design to a case manufacturer and get royalties only.
To offload the load on the funder you could as for pre order from the customers to build the case run, to get full amount of money for the case manufacturing run by taking deposits on the orders, if your case manufacturer of choice have a good reputation in all aspects.
12 HDDs in an extreme performance case??? Why not just make a server?
Is this thing wide enough for dual quads up top. With fans exhausting and mesh on the top panel for the air to come in? Doubt there would be enough room to put a 120mm fan between the rads facing down as intake. If you wanted a line of fans between the rads, I figure about 250-260mm wide to have a black ice rad with 25mm fans directly on the outside exhausting out. This would also give enough room for the 120mm rads in top as intakes for the dual rads up top. So, you may need another 1" of width, but it would allow up to dual quad rads up top and dual triple rads down low. Obviously that much radiator in the case brings up the problem of pumps and reservoirs. I know you have said you don't want to change your case any bigger. But it could make people happy who want more rad.
Just a thought. I will never be able to afford your case, or the hardware required to think about using such an awesome case. I like the recommendation for a silent fat wallet partner. Maybe call up the shark tank editors to get on the show.![]()

dual loops is possible in most current cases i stuffed two loops into and ultra dragon case. 3x120mm up top in push/pull and 2x120mm in pull and a 120mm in the side panel in push. it was hella crammed but it all fit in (read on) a case that ultra called a midtower.
now your case looks about a million times prettier but i think if you could have a case that accomplished all of what yours does but made it mid tower sized you would be a genius and could make a fortune off the design.

I absolutly am in love with you case design. I really don't know how to tell you to improve it other than having the option of accomidating the larger motherboard form factor boards(that dual socket EVGA is sur lookin nice!)There will be compromises to what ever the final case design is and while I know that not everybody will be happy, I feel that there is a trade off for everything .
I am eagerly waiting for the news that it is being built...I will have a TJ07 for sale.

Mick, I thought the same thing too with my acrylic design, that the top and bottom chambers had to be the same dimensions. I found as long as the removable mobo tray stayed within the center chamber and was perfectly centered you can have both top/bottom chambers different sizes as shown in the pic.
This case turned out to be 305cm wide (12") as I was thinking the dual fesser rads with 25mm fans didn't allow enough room between them. The case is 609.6 x 622.3 x 305. Not as big as yours! Good to see at least some progress with getting it made!
